MemBrain™ SMART Vapor Retarder is a film that changes its permeability with the humidity condition.
Sounds technical, and it is. This product can make a world of difference by actually adjusting to seasonal
climatic changes.
With rising concerns about excess moisture in homes (because of mold & other indoor comfort issues),
MemBrain™ is a great option because it reduces the drying potential of a closed building envelope with
seasonal climate changes. This product changes its permeability with the ambient humidity condition. It
is not applicable in open attics, but is used in walls & closed cavity ceilings such as cathedrals.
Air sealing is the most efficient way to save money on your
energy bills. Sealing air leaks and preventing inside air from
escaping small crevasses in a building’s structure will impact your

Home Insulation & Supply has developed a technique called picture framing.
In this technique, a foam product is applied within a cavity in areas where
air escapes, creating a dead space to prevent air infiltration. When the foam
application is complete, the application area represents a picture frame.

does, costing the customer nearly 60% less than a comparable foam insulation job.
